West Allis Police dash cam footage captures an officer executing a PIT maneuver to stop a suspect who fled police early Friday morning.
According to the department’s Facebook page, police chased a stolen SUV at about 3 a.m. Friday morning.
The department deployed stop sticks to stop the car, but it continued driving on flat tires and got onto I-94.
The driver got off the interstate at Moorland Road in Brookfield, where a West Allis officer executed the PIT maneuver.
The car tried to drive away again, ramming into the squad car. But the suspects were unable to get away.
Police arrested the driver, a 21-year-old man, for stealing the car, eluding police and an OWI, among other offenses. The passenger, a 22-year-old man, was found with drug paraphernalia and arrested as well.
