The USPS is hiring local city carrier assistants for their Lakeland District Post Office branches.

They're accepting applications this week only, starting Monday March 20 and running through Sunday March 26.

The Lakeland District Post Offices includes multiple locations throughout the 532 zip code areas

Applicants must be able to perform everyday mail carrier tasks as well as have a valid driver's license. 

Anyone interested in applying must also take an exam beforehand. 

USPS' starting pay is $16.78 per hour.
