MILWAUKEE — Thousands of people packed into watch parties across the Milwaukee area to witness the United States Women's National team win another World Cup.

At the Deer District, there was an abundance of red, white and blue.

"Amazing, what a good game," said Jenny Wambach. "Those women played their hearts out for sure."

Wambach's son Alex is in France to watch the game. Although she is happy for her son, she said the crowd at the Deer District was just as great.

"We are a soccer family and it’s pretty cool," she said.

Maclovio Vega brought his family to Nomad on Brady St. to watch the game. He hopes his daughters are inspired by the athletes on the big screen.

"I love soccer and I’m trying to show my daughters women empowerment," said Vega.

The US women's team beat the Netherlands 2-0.
