MILWAUKEE – With the holidays quickly approaching, UPS’s seasonal hiring effort is in full swing.
UPS is still looking to fill 450 jobs seasonal jobs in the Milwaukee area as it predicts to deliver a record-breaking 750 million packages this season.
With driver-helper positions now open, the company is now hiring for all full- and part-time seasonal positions, also including drivers and driver-helpers.
Delivery driver jobs start at $18.75 per hour. Pay for package handlers starts at $10.20 per, and driver-helper jobs start at $15 per hour.
UPS says the seasonal jobs have long served as a foot in the door to a career at UPS. In fact, the company says 35 percent of the people UPS hired in recent years for seasonal package handler jobs stayed with the company on a permanent basis after the holidays.
