The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner has identified the body discovered in West Allis on Dec. 7.
The deceased is 39-year-old Robert Kruczkowski from Milwaukee.
West Allis Police say the cause of death remains under investigation.
Three children were walking in a wooded area near the 7400 block of W. Oklahoma when they came across the body.
The kids alerted an adult who then contacted West Allis Police.
The body was in a state of advanced decomposition when it was located.
