MILWAUKEE — Have you dreamed of having an “Uber for lawn care” in Milwaukee?
Your dream is about to become reality, thanks to GreenPal.
GreenPal is an app that connects homeowners with local, vetted lawn care professionals, and it is launching this week in Milwaukee.
GreenPal, which is based in Nashville, Tennessee, allows homeowners to find local, prescreened lawn professionals.
Homeowners list their lawns with their service date and lawn needs. Vetted lawn care pros then bid on their properties based on the Google street and aerial images and any other lawn details the homeowner provides.
Homeowners then select who they want to work with based on vendor's ratings, reviews and price.
Once a vendor has completed the service, the lawn care pro will send a time-stamped photo of the completed work. Homeowners then pay via the app and can set up more appointments.
More than 1 million homeowners have signed up with GreenPal, according to a news release.
The company is operating in more than 35 states and 150 major markets including Chicago, Cincinnati, Columbus, Cleveland, Detroit and St. Louis.
