MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Police have arrested a 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl in connection with a shooting of 13-year-old boy that happened last week.

The shooting happened last Friday just before 5 a.m. in the 4700 block of N. 40th Street.

Police say the 13-year-old boy was shot at a residence at this address. He suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the 1300 block of W. Ring Street before being transported to a local hospital.  

The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation. 

Police are also investigating whether these suspects are involved in any other recent crimes in the area.
