Two Milwaukee men charged with trafficking of a child

Two Milwaukee men have been charged with child trafficking after picking a girl up while she was walking on the sidewalk in October.

The 17-year-old girl told police she initially willingly went with the men on Oct. 28 when they drove up to her and asked if she wanted to "smoke weed with them," according to the criminal complaint.

From there, the teen was held captive for a period of two to three days, in which time she had sexual intercourse on at least four occasions with different men.

Cousins Nicholas J. Edwards and Orrin D. Edwards have been charged in relation to the incident.

Nicholas is charged with trafficking of a child, habitual criminality repeater and intercourse with a child, habitual criminality repeater for which he faces $110,000 in fines and/or up to 40 years and nine months in prison.

Orrin is charged with trafficking of a child, child enticement, false imprisonment and sexual intercourse with a child. He faces $220,000 in fines and/or up to 71 years and nine months in prison.
