TOWN OF GENESEE – A fire broke out at a daycare in the Town of Genesee Saturday morning -- leaving more than $100,000 in damages to the building.
It happened just before 6:30 a.m. at the Bright Ideas Learning Community, located at S31 W29553 Sunset Dr.
The Waukesha County Sheriff's Office tells TODAY'S TMJ4 no one was inside the building at the time of the fire.
The fire was reported by a passing motorist. Eight area fire departments were called to contain the fire.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time but firefighters are looking at an electrical issue.
The incident remains under investigation by the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department.
No other information has been released.
