Towing companies in the Milwaukee area have stayed busy since the harsh winter weather hit, and they do not expect calls to slow down soon.
"Last night I was pulling somebody out of a ditch," said Michael Garcia, a tow truck operator with Alligator Towing and Roadside in Racine.
Garcia has spent six years helping drivers in distress.
"My favorite part of the job is getting to help people," said Garcia.
With snow still on the ground and dangerously cold weather hovering over Wisconsin, Garcia said they expect more calls for help.
"Yesterday I put 287 miles on the truck," he said. "I never left Kenosha County once."
Most drivers do not have enough gas in their car, or the fuel lines freeze up according to Garcia. When the lines freeze up he said drivers mistake it for a dead battery.
If you have to drive in the conditions keep an extra blanket.
Garcia said if your car breaks down it can take a while for a truck to get there as they handle tons of calls and the cold.
