Three people were hospitalized after a seaplane overturned during a takeoff attempt near the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh fly-in convention, according to event organizers.
A new release from the event said the seaplane overturned during a "takeoff incident" around 8 p.m. on Lake Winnebago near the Seaplane Base used for the EAA AirVenture. The three occupants of the aircraft were taken to local hospitals and their condition is unknown.
The FAA and the NTSB are investigating the incident.
Wittman Regional Airport is the busiest airport in the world right now due to the EAA event.
