WEST ALLIS — The entire West Allis Fire Department was called to put out flames consuming three detached garages in the city Wednesday.
The fire happened near 92nd and Arthur around 3:30 p.m.
According to the West Allis assistant chief, none of the homes involved caught fire, but the extreme heat from the flames did cause some exterior damage to the homes.
The assistant chief adds that the fire required the full West Allis fire department to respond, and so neighboring city fire departments were called in to help with six other emergency calls Wednesday afternoon, from the Wauwatosa, Greenfield and Milwaukee fire departments.
None of the homeowners were displaced by the fire.
