MILWAUKEE — The new Saint Kate Hotel officially opened its doors to the community this weekend, taking the place of another hotel on Kilbourn Ave. in Milwaukee.
Drawing inspiration from Saint Catherine, the patron saint of artists, the arts hotel is among the first in the nation to broadly celebrate the arts in many forms.
Upon entering the hotel, guests are welcomed by a life-sized cast bronze horse sculpture by Deborah Butterfield, followed by a large piece by renowned painter Alex Katz setting the tone at the front desk.
Throughout the first floor guests can find works by Paul Druecke, Terry Winters, Michelle Grabner, and many more.
