KENOSHA — A 19-year-old Kenosha man was sentenced to 11 years in prison for stabbing a former friend at Bradford High School in 2017.

A Kenosha County judge sentencedTimothy Carson to 10 years behind bars for reckless homicide, and one year for a fight he was involved in while in Kenosha County Jail in the wake of the fatal stabbing.

Carson, then age 15, admitted to stabbing 15-year-old Dez’Jon Taylor in the heart while in class on April 25, 2017. Carson pleaded guilty to second-degree reckless homicide, use of a dangerous weapon.

Carson has remained in jail since then. The victim, Taylor, was brought to a local hospital, where he died days later.
