Suspect arrested in connection to Milwaukee funeral home shooting

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police say they have arrested a 29-year-old man in connection to the shooting at a funeral home that injured seven people last week.

MPD says they will be referring charges to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office in the coming days.

As TMJ4 News reported, seven people were shot and injured in a drive-by shooting at the Serenity Funeral Home on the city's northwest side last Wednesday. All seven victims are in stable condition and are expected to survive.

The victims are a 48-year-old woman, a 26-year-old woman, a 24-year-old woman, a 29-year-old man, a 26-year-old man, a 24-year-old man and a 20-year-old man.

The owner of Serenity Funeral Home, Cedric Guy, said there were about 100 people attending the funeral at the time of the shooting. They were mourning the death of 26-year-old Braxton Taylor, a victim of a shooting on Sept. 17.
