MILWAUKEE -- Prom season is here, and that means more teens will be out on the road.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, roughly one-third of alcohol-related teen traffic fatalities occur between April and June, which is prom and graduation season.

Drug-Free Action Alliance has developed a public awareness campaign to talk to their kids about the dangers of drinking and driving.

The organization recommends setting a curfew and waiting up until your teen arrives. When they get home, take some time to hear details of their evening.

If you are throwing a party, make sure to have a guest list and make your phone number available to other teens' parents if they have any questions or concerns.
