A recent study shows that Chicagoans have the least attractive accent in the country.
A survey done by YouGov earlier this month asked 1,216 people what accent is the most attractive, and only 2 percent said the Chicago accent was the best.
Just ahead of Chicago was Appalachia with 3 percent. The region that got the most love was the Southern Coast with 18 percent.
The majority of people sampled—21 percent—said they were not sure.
Texas was the second favorite region with 12 percent. Wisconsin was not listed in the report, but of those surveyed, 6 percent said the Midwest accent was the most attractive.
