Morning storms Thursday made for difficult conditions for many different businesses.

WE Energies says winds from the storm damaged equipment and cut the power to thousands in Shorewood for much of the day.

“We had a full restaurant when everything went down. Thankfully everyone was real nice and understanding,” says Blues Egg General Manager Gerard Strong.

He says the power went out around 11am and he was starting to plan ways to keep the food from spoiling. The power came back online around 6:45 pm.

KAD Moving Manager Kevin Kubacki was on a job with two other workers Thursday morning when the storm hit. He says conditions were tough.

“Pouring rain, we had to cover all the furniture with pads,” said Kubacki.

Temperatures in Shorewood soared to 90 degrees with high humidity, later in the day.
