State Park passes available online for first time

and last updated

For the first time, you can buy the annual Wisconsin state park pass online at YourPassNow.

The Department of Natural resources has decided to do this after an increase in over-the-phone orders since many offices are closed and can't provide in-person purchases due to the coronavirus.

Pass rates are as follows:

  • Annual Wisconsin Resident: $28
  • Wisconsin Resident Senior (65+): $13
  • Non-Resident: $38

The pass sticker will arrive in the mail shortly after you place your order. A receipt will also be emailed to you. If you would like to go to a state park before you get your annual pass sticker, the DNR recommends writing your receipt information on a piece of paper and placing it on your dashboard when parking.

This only applies to state park passes, not state trail passes. A state park pass is only for hiking and biking. A state trail passis needed for anyone who wants to bike, horseback ride, in-line skate, cross-country ski, and off-highway motorcycle. To purchase a state trail pass, you still must call 1-888-305-0398. Phone lines are open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days per week.

Both pass stickers are good through Dec. 31st, 2020. For more information about park admission go to this link on the DNR's website.
