MILWAUKEE --- Special Olympics athletes and their families took part in a 12-hour basketball tournament on Sunday.
Hundreds of athletes, from 8-years-old to their late 60s competed at Vincent High School.
One of the participants is 31-year-old Eric Stein. This is his 22nd season playing Special Olympics basketball.
"The ability level is from individuals who can barely dribble a ball, to athletes that want to dunk a ball," said Milwaukee Recreation Supervisor Jodie Donabar,
Forty-eight teams from Milwaukee, Ozaukee and Washington Counties competed.
The games allowed athletes to qualify for the Special Olympics District Tournament in March.
