Slice of Ice in Red Arrow Park opens Friday

MILWAUKEE — The Slice of Ice skating rink in Red Arrow Park is opening its doors for the season on Friday.

On Friday, Dec. 13 at 11:00 a.m., skaters will be able to head to the rink for some winter fun. Slice of Ice is free to use for skaters with their own skates, and rentals are available in the warming house. Kids that are 17 years old and younger can get a pair of skates for $7, anyone 18-years-old or older has to be $9.

In celebration of opening day, Slice of Ice will be offering free Pepsi products while supplies last.

According to a press release, "The Polar Pal toddler-sized skating supports will be available again this year for a $1 rental fee and $5 refundable deposit or photo ID. ADA Ice sleds for people with limited mobility will be available for free use when requested 24 hours in advance."

The Slice of Ice skating rink hours are:

Friday's and Saturday's: 11:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Sunday - Thursday: 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Christmas Eve: 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Christmas Day: 2:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
