80-year-old Barron County man found safe

***UPDATE: Ronald Kuruz has been found safe***

Ronald Kuruz, 80, has been reported missing from Cameron, Wis.

Police say Kuruz is believed to have dementia or some other cognitive impairment. He was last seen in the front yard of a resident in the village of Cameron about 9:20 a.m. Sunday. A neighbor saw him looking at a lawn mower before walking back to the residence, falling twice on the steps outside and then walking to his blue Dodge pickup truck. From there, Kuruz backed into the garage door and ran over a snowbank before leaving.

The neighbor said he was headed westbound toward Barron, Wis.

Kuruz is described a white man, 6 ft. tall and 220 pounds with a scar on his chest from surgery. He was last seen wearing brown pants, a blue sweatshirt, brown jacket and white Nike sneakers.

Kuruz's truck is a 1998 blue Dodge Ram 1500 Quad with Wisconsin license plate number AP9326. It has a sticker in the back window that says, "sit down, shut up & hold on."

Anyone with information on Kuruz's whereabouts is asked to contact the Barron County Sheriff's Office at 715-537-3106.
