SHOREWOOD — The Shorewood Police Department is investigating a possible attempted assault that happened at around 2:15 p.m. Thursday.
Police say the alleged incident occurred on the 3500 block of N. Maryland Ave.
A female victim reports that as she walked southbound on the west side of the street, she was suddenly grabbed around the waist from behind by an unknown male. The victim screamed and the male released her.
The suspect was described as being a white male, between 20-40 years of age and was wearing a black jacket and black running shoes.
