MANITOWOC — Authorities say the death of an inmate at the Manitowoc County Jail is drug-related.
Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department says corrections officers found the inmate, identified as Justin Hall, 36 of Manitowoc, dead in his cell.
An investigation has since concluded that Hall's death is connected to "criminal activity related to narcotics distribution." The department says drugs may have been distributed by another inmate.
A toxicology report is pending to find out what drug caused his death. Such a test can take eight weeks or more to process.
Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department is assisting Manitowoc County Sheriff's Office in the investigation.
Additional charges may be referred when Hall’s autopsy findings are complete.
