When most people here about snow they like to stay inside. But some say that's just noo fun, and it's time to break out the boards.

Not snowboards, though.

It was good news when Zace Dulmes and Matt Demaster heard about Wednesday's snow. The snow comes with wind: The perfect combination for them to ride the waves and surf in the snow.

“This is our first time in the snow,” Dulmes said.

“It might be a little cold but it’s more fun than sitting inside,” Demaster said.

When it comes to getting in the water snow doesn’t stop them and the two friends who work at a local surf shop were handling it pretty well.

“Anytime we can catch waves on a lake we go out and do it,” Demaster said. “You’ve got to do what you’ve got to do out here. In Wisconsin in the winter there’s not a whole lot to do so you’ve got to find fun stuff to do while it’s here.”

It's an experience they’ll remember for the rest of their lives. They both stayed out on the lake until just before the sun went down.

The pair also likes to skate and snowboard.
