MILWAUKEE -- A Wisconsin State Senator believes there has been an 'alarming escalation of hate speech' based on people's race, faith or both.
Democrat Chris Larson sponsored a joint resolution aimed at denouncing most notably, 'Islamophobia.'
Larson joined us Sunday on TODAY'S TMJ4 Live at Daybreak to share more about the resolution that says it would 'reject language and policies targeting people based on their faith.'
We also reached out to Republican Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald to get his take on the resolution. We did not hear back at the time of broadcast. He told Wisconsin Public Radio earlier last week however, he had not read the full resolution yet to have an opinion.
