We all know by now, that on the first hot and sunny day of the year, pretty much everyone in Wisconsin gets outside.

Every local beach - from Kenosha north to Sheboygan, and Milwaukee west to Oconomowoc - was absolutely packed on Friday, as temperatures soared to near 90 degrees.

That goes for golf courses too. And parks, where cookouts are already plentiful this holiday weekend.

“This is our first cookout of the year, and it’s a good one, because it’s senior skip day,” said Armando Loeza, who will soon graduate from St. Anthony’s in Milwaukee. “I probably shouldn’t have agreed to be on the news. I think I just busted myself! But my teachers know about skip day, the cool ones at least. All my friends are here too.”

“I just had to get out and soak up from sun before work,” said Alicia Williams. “Not all of us get the weekend off. I’m going to be working double shifts. But at least this weather lifts my mood.”

Some Wisconsinites don’t even need sand or water to enjoy the heat and sunshine. We found many sunbathing in their driveways.
