Thousands of people are trafficked every day.

Saturday, January 11 is a day set aside to help prevent that from happening - it's Human Trafficking Awareness Day.

In Wisconsin, the advocacy group 'End It WI' is hosting a 'Wear Blue Day,' encouraging everyone to wear blue clothing to support awareness for this critical issue.

"We ask people to take photos of themselves, friends, family, and colleagues wearing blue clothing and share them on social media – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram – along with our #WearBlueDay hashtag. Anyone can participate, all you need is a piece of blue clothing!" a Facebook event page says.

If you or someone you love is a victim of human trafficking, please call the National Human Trafficking Hotline 1 (888) 373-7888, text "HELP" to 233733, or for emergencies call 911.
