Russ Davis Wholesale recalls Crazy-Fresh chicken products due to misbranding, undeclared allergens

Russ Davis Wholesale has recalled about 702 pounds of Crazy-Fresh chicken products from its stores due to misbranding and undeclared allergens.

The items that are selected for this recall include:

  • 10-ounce black plastic bowl with a clear plastic lid containing "Crazy-Fresh Chicken Caesar Salad" and "Use By" dates of 02/15/2019 through 02/26/2019.
  • 10-ounce black plastic bowl with a clear plastic lid containing “Jerry's the kitchen Chicken Caesar Salad” and “Sell By” dates of 02/15/2019 through 02/26/2019.

These products were shipped and sold in Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North and South Dakota and Wyoming.

The U.S. Department of Food Safety and Inspection Service was notified Feb. 24 that the items were misbranded and the recall was announced Monday after an investigation by the FSIS.

So far, no adverse reactions due to the consumption of these products have been reported. You are encouraged to throw away or return these items if you have purchased them.
