While thousands of people donate to any one politician's campaign, our partners at the Milwaukee Business Journal have revealed some famous faces who contributed to the campaign of Gov. Tony Evers.
According to the Milwaukee Business Journal, celebrities including actress Uma Thurman and Barbra Streisand donated to the governor's campaign and pledged their support. Thurman reportedly donated $2,000 and Streisand donated $1,000 and put "entertainer" as her occupation.
Evers' campaign raised $1.47 million compared to $1.41 million given to Scott Walker which gave the newly appointed governor an edge to say the least.
Other celebrities who also contributed to Evers' campaign include Laurene Powell Jobs, the widow of Apple founder Steve Jobs, who donated $20,000 and Marcy Carsey, the producer of "Roseanne," "Third Rock From the Sun," "The Cosby Show," and "That 70s Show," donated $5,000.
