Reminder: Taco Bell offering free tacos nationally Wednesday

As part of the company's “Steal a Base, Steal a Taco” promotion, Taco Bell will be giving away free Doritos Locos Tacos nationwide on Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m. at participating locations.

The promotion is tied to this year's World Series. Taco Bell promised customers that it would give away free tacos on Wednesday if a player would steal a base in Games 1 or 2 of the World Series.

Thanks to Indians star Francisco Lindor's Game 1 stolen base, the nation is rewarded with free tacos. Yes, even those in Chicago can get in on the action.

According to Taco Bell, there is no purchase necessary, but management reserves the right to deny service if they believe you are double dipping. Free tacos are also subject to availability.

According to Taco Bell, this is the sixth time it has given away free tacos in conjunction with the World Series.

Doritos Locos Tacos are a hard taco shell akin to Doritos, filled with beef, cheese and lettuce.
