Rain delay doesn't damper EAA AirVenture fun

Posted

Heavy downpours made things a little soggy, but hardly put a damper on Wednesday action at EAA AirVenture.

Everyone took cover as storms rolled through the Fox Valley Wednesday afternoon.  As quickly as the storms rumbled through, the skies cleared, allowing the thousands of visitors from near and far to venture back out onto the grounds.

At EAA, you'll see aircraft of all ages, shapes and sizes. It's no surprise that the show's biggest aircraft was also the day's biggest hit.  With a wingspan of over 222 feet, and length just shy of a football field, the C-5M Super Galaxy is the largest airlifter in the U.S. Air Force. There are currently 52 C-5M’s in the Air Force. Most of the aircraft received a recent modernization boost. What makes this gigantic plane even more unique, is its ability to load and unload combat ready cargo from its front and rear. Click on the video above for more.
