MILWAUKEE — Few know that racquetball has a historic link to Milwaukee. Back in the day, two forms were played.

"They were using old wooden rackets like this," Bill Schultz says.

So 50 years ago, the first national racquetball tournament was held here.

"For someone who's played racquetball for over 50 years myself? Kind of neat to have been there on day one," Schultz says.

Today, Paul Muxworthy is a multiple time state champion and keeps the sport going forward.

"It's fun. It's great exercise," Muxworthy says. "We've all got regular jobs, except for the few very lucky of us. It's amazing stress relief."

All while Schultz remembers Brew Town's historic link to the past.

"Here's a wood racket from 1968. Here's a top-end racket from today. If you ran a 4.3 40, you might be able to keep up with the wood racket," Schultz joked.
