RACINE — The Racine Zoo's Chinese Lantern Festival has been extended four more weekends.

For months, the Racine Zoo has entertained large crowds at their Chinese Lantern Festival. Due to the big crowds, they have decided to extend their festival through Feb. 9.

The lantern festival will be open Fridays, Saturday's, and Sunday's from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person online or at the gate.

Attendees will find colorful and intricately-designed lanterns that come to life at night. According to a press release, there are 32 different scenes that greet visitors at the main zoo entrance. The displays continue throughout the south end of the Zoo grounds.

"We are so excited to continue this amazing festival," Chelsea Locke, the Zoo's Special Event Manager said. "Guests are thrilled that they can still see it."
