Wisconsin lawmakers are considering a big change in the way underage drinking is handled in the state.
As the law stands now, a bar owner faces fines for serving people under the age of 21.
But according to Channel3000.com, a new bill would shift the blame to the individual who served the drink.
The lawmakers behind the bill believe it will force waiters and bartenders to be more thorough in checking IDs.
Rep. Tyler Vorpagel, R-Plymouth, is the author of the bill.
