MOUNT PLEASANT — A woman is behind bars after allegedly cutting a Walmart employee twice in the neck and then robbing and threatening to shoot a second victim in Mount Pleasant in Racine County Wednesday night.
Mount Pleasant police say officers were dispatched to the Walmart at 5625 Washington Ave. just before 7 p.m. There, they found the Walmart employee cut twice in the neck and face. That victim was brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
With a description of a suspect, Mount Pleasant police were flagged down by a person at the Landmark Credit Union. That person told the officers that they had been robbed while using an ATM. The victim says the suspect threatened to shoot them and then physically wrestled with the victim until stealing $20 and leaving, according to MPPD.
A Racine County Sheriff's deputy soon found a person matching the description of the suspect near the Kwik Trip on Washington Avenue. Officers arrested the suspect in the middle of the intersection. The suspect was identified Thursday as Tia Sullivan, 30 years old from Detroit, Michigan.
The incidents remain under investigation.
