MILWAUKEE — A City of Milwaukee DPW employee has been hurt after police say a stolen car crashed into the employee's vehicle.

Officers say shortly after 2:00 p.m. Monday, police observed a vehicle that was taken in a carjacking earlier in the day on the 3600 block of W. Marion Street. As officers tried to stop the vehicle, police say the driver of the stolen vehicle ran from the scene.

Police say the pursuit ended after one minute when the stolen vehicle hit a City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works vehicle on the 3800 block of W. Hampton Avenue. An on-duty city employee was inside the DPW vehicle.

The city employee was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment. No one else was injured.

Police say two adult male suspects from the stolen vehicle were taken into custody. The case will be presented to the District Attorney’s office for charges later this week.
