MILWAUKEE -- Part of I-43/94 was a crime scene Tuesday. The freeway was shut down as police investigated shots fired in the area of Lapham and 4th Street.

The northbound lanes at Becher Street were closed for more than two hours. Witnesses heard several gunshots outside their homes.

“I’d say about seven,” said Ken McGee, neighbor.

Another neighbor, who had three kids home at the time, heard shots and then saw two cars speed by.

“One car went to the freeway and the other car went for the street,” said Sergio Muratalla.

TODAY'S TMJ4 cameras saw officials handcuffing one person. Police said they are still looking for suspects.

Police said no one was hurt, but there are reports of bullets hitting nearby cars.
