Police: Innocent bystanders shot inside a home when suspects target car

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee Police say two people were shot inside of their home after someone shot at a vehicle nearby.

Officers say it happened shortly before noon Tuesday in the 3900 block of West Fairmount Ave.

Police believe the suspects shot at a vehicle; however, bullets hit a home, which injured a 44-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man inside the home. They both have non-life threatening injuries. Two other homes were also hit.

Milwaukee Police say this is an active investigation and officers are looking for the suspects involved.
