CALEDONIA — Caledonia Police identified the 55-year-old victim of a shooting Tuesday as Robert Luckfield Jr. of Caledonia.
A preliminary investigation revealed an argument ensued between Luckfield and his daughter and her live-in boyfriend in the 4800 block of Tanglewood Avenue, police said in a news release.
During the argument, Luckfield fired a round from a handgun at his daughter and the boyfriend, Caledonia Police said.
The boyfriend and daughter went into a bedroom and armed themselves with a rifle, police said.
The incident escalated to the point where the boyfriend said he had to defend himself and his girlfriend, according to police.
The other names are being withheld while the incident remains under investigation.
