MILWAUKEE — Investigators are working to determine the circumstances behind a body that was found in the Milwaukee River early Friday.
The Milwaukee Police Department received a 911 call just after 6:30 a.m. Friday reporting a person spotted in the water near Schlitz Park, authorities said.
Police responded to the 1500 block of Rivercenter Drive in downtown Milwaukee, where they recovered a body.
The person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials are not releasing the name of the deceased at this time, saying the investigation is ongoing.
