MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on Saturday, Dec. 19 at about 1:34 a.m. on the 4600 block of W. Fond du Lac Ave.

Police said a 32-year old photographer at a sweet sixteen party was shot and killed while leaving the party building.

The suspect approached the victim as he exited the building and shot him, police said.

TMJ4 News spoke with several people who said they were loved ones of the victim. They did not want to comment ahead of immediate family but said he was well-liked in the community.

"It's rough, man," said George Pierce, who walks along Fond du Lac everyday on his way to work.

He said it was tough seeing the police investigating during Saturday's walk.

“We’ve never had nothing like this," said another man who didn't want to be identified. "Nothing like this in the three years I’ve been over here.”

The investigation of this incident is ongoing.
