An aircraft at the 128th Air Refueling Wing near General Mitchell International Airport was forced to make an emergency landing shortly after takeoff Wednesday morning after experiencing mechanical problems.
According to a spokesman, the landing gear was stuck in the down position and was forced to land at around 10:30 a.m.
Three people were on the plane but no injuries were reported.
The refueling wing is used to transfer fuel to military aircraft, assist with medical emergencies and airlift people and supplies to strategic locations
