PGA golfer Mark Wilson returns to Wisconsin State Golf Open

WISCONSIN — Mark Wilson is back at the Wisconsin State Open at Blue Mound Country Club, just like old times. Going for an eagle, he was on the putt. It looked like 70 feet but he says let's call it 100.

"Oh, that felt really good. These greens are so fast. And, a lot of good putts, but you seem to always have 3 or four feet coming back. So, to have it you know, kind of, went with some pace too. As you can see. And I would have probably hit five feet coming back, so it's like a, it's almost like two strokes in one there. So it's nice to get an eagle in there. Always feels good to make an eagle," Mark Wilson says.

Mark Wilson won five times on the PGA Tour, and 9 times professionally. Born in Menomonee Falls and after attending high school at Wisconsin Lutheran, he loves coming back and giving back.

"It was really exciting to come back and play," Wilson says. "I just, I miss the competition. I do. I love what I'm doing now with PGA Tour radio and PGA Tour live. But, to get the heartbeat going. And in competition against some great players here in the state. I love Wisconsin."
