A Change.org petition is calling for a maximum penalty for Michelle Mayer, an Eau Claire woman accused of trading sex with children for drugs and money.
Mayer has been charged with two counts of repeated sexual assault of a child, party to a crime. The petition asks the judge on Mayer’s case to give her the maximum 80-year sentence.
Mayer is accused of trafficking two children for at least six and a half years, using her mother's house to trade them for cash, cocaine and meth.
She reportedly would allow men to photograph and have sex with the children. A confidential informant told police the two children were sometimes injected with meth to keep them awake.
The informant couldn’t name the men involved, but said they were all called, “uncles” or went by street names like, “Dollar, Junior, Bam Bam and Pinky.”
Mayer allegedly beat the children with a baseball bat if they ever fought against the abuse.
After Mayer’s arrest, the children were placed at a safe location away from her.
The petition has more than 13,000 signatures as of Monday evening.
