MILWAUKEE — Grab your furry friends and head down to the Summerfest grounds Saturday for the 6th Annual Fromm Petfest. All the good boys and their owners are welcome between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Petfest is family-friendly and organizers encourage families to bring their beloved pets on a leash if they are up-to-date with all vaccinations. All pet owners will be asked to sign a waiver upon entering the grounds.

“Fromm Petfest has quickly become a well-loved tradition, both within our family-owned business as well as the surrounding Milwaukee communities and beyond,” said Bryan Nieman, brand director and fifth-generation family member at Fromm Family Foods.

Check out the Doggie Dash speed trial, the Kitty City or Adoption Avenue, where you can adopt new family members from rescues and animal-related non-profits. There will even be an owner/pet look-alike contest!

The kid's amusement area, marketplace and live music and entertainment will keep the humans busy, while the pets get all the free smells.

“We would like to thank Fromm Family Foods for being a great partner and once again bringing the community together for a free event and a barkin’ good time at Henry Maier Festival Park on Milwaukee’s lakefront," said Don Smiley, president and CEO of Milwaukee World Festival, Inc.

If your pets need to wind down for a bit, the Lap Dog Lounge is a rest area for all (including people) who need a little break from the excitement.

The pet-tastic event will benefit area animal-related non-profits, like the Wisconsin Humane Society.
