EAGLE, Wis. -- Class is canceled for Palmyra-Eagle Area Schools students as law enforcement continues the search for 43-year-old Jonathan Pogreba --a man the Waukesha County Sherif considers both armed and dangerous.

The massive search started Tuesday in the Town of Eagle near Wilton Road and Kettle Moraine Drive (State road 67).

43-year-old Jonathan Pogreba is accused of beating up his wife and exchanging gunshots with a family member before running away.

According to the Sheriff's Department, the family member wasn’t injured, but they aren't sure if Pogreba was hurt during the exchange.

A man who used to work with Pogreba said the search is making him uneasy because it's all happening so close to home.

“I used to work with this guy on the farm," Alex Roben said.

"If anything I’m just really nervous right now because [they searching the road I live on," he continued.

The Sheriff’s Department urges anyone who sees Pogreba to call police.
