GREEN BAY — Green Bay Packers linebacker Za'Darius Smith has been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week.

The NFL made the announcement Wednesday morning, also naming the NFC Offensive Player of the Week and Special Teams Player of the Week.

Smith earned the title after he had eight tackles, three sacks, and four tackles behind the line of scrimmage in Monday's game against the Atlanta Falcons.

However, those plays were not the only memorable moments from the linebacker on Monday.

After sacking Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, Smith unveiled a shirt under his jersey that read, "Rest in Heaven Breonna Taylor" which got a lot of attention after the game.

Taylor was shot and killed by police in Louisville in March. No officers were charged in connection to her death.

That Packers ended up defeating the Falcons 30-16.
