MILWAUKEE — Packers football is back.

Sunday’s big win had fans excited not only for the victory, but simply for having football back given the pandemic.

It’s something Milwaukee hasn't seen en-masse in quite some time.

Green and Gold shirts and jerseys all throughout the city as Packers fans helped kick off the season.

“Go pack, go!” one group of Packers fans shouted to TMJ4 News.

The phrase was seen and heard throughout Milwaukee’s Deer District Sunday afternoon.

A sentiment felt by many, but not everyone...

“24 - 10. Vikings. Yep," one Minnesota Vikings fan predicted before the game.

Former college roommates Logan Kluis and Ben Boldt were back together Sunday watching their respective favorite teams go head to head once again to kick off their 2020 seasons.

No matter the team, the game gave a three-hour escape from the reality of the pandemic.

At Steny’s in Walker’s Point, fans are back, business is good but COVID-19 keeps the crowd following new rules.

“We took out half our tables. We’re at half-capacity so it’s a little different," said Manager Jojo Lutkus.

Sunday's win over Minnesota puts Green Bay 1-0 on the season.
