Packers fans in Milwaukee enjoy NFC Championship game locally

MILWAUKEE — Fans in Milwaukee also took in Sunday’s heartbreaking Packers loss to Tampa Bay. TMJ4 News spoke many disappointed fans, and also some happy Buccaneers fans.

The energy was palpable for fans at bars like Mecca in Milwaukee’s Deer District. Fans filed in, taking in all the highs and lows of the game.

“First of all, how you feel?” TMJ4 News’ Tony Atkins asked fan Tori Pautz.

“Horrible... Horrible,” she replied.

Fans outside in the Deer District, also, took in the game on a large screen. The setting, bit more similar to Lambeau Field; cold.

"This is the perfect place for it. I mean, it's cold, but you know, we're used to it around here,” said Lucas Oulahas, a Buccaneers fan.

While the game itself wasn’t what Packers fans wanted. some people did enjoy themselves. people like Nancy Martinez-Ramirez, who came with her friend, Packers fan Hailey Wirtz.

“I’m probably one of the only people in this whole bar that has a Buccaneers shirt,” Martinez-Ramirez said.

Despite the tight finish to the Packers game, everyone, no matter where they went just happy to safely enjoy Sunday's game.

“With COVID going on, I’m still upset about not being able to be in company with a lot of people. But with social distancing we have going on, it makes it still enjoyable,” Wirtz said.

Other fans TMJ4 News spoke with said while they are disappointed about Sunday, they said are still optimistic about the future.
